Many streameast domains have been seized by U.S Govt. for piracy law.
There are many sports streaming services which are subscription based. All users can not pay hefty monthly subscription amount though some services are afordable. There are some free options but one of them is not available now. Streameast owners came back with other domain. Users can access that in main page of this website.
What Happened to Streameast?
Sadly, who opened the streameast website, they were not able to open it. They met a notice from U.S govt. saying “domain has been siezed”. Streameast is a platform where sports fans can access live sports streaming be it soccer, football, hockey, WWE, WNBA, NLF, NBA, Premier league, Laliga, Bundesliga, Serie A, League 1 etc. Also main main international events like Olympics and FIFA World Cup can be accessed via streameast.
The notice said “This domain name has been seized by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) pursuant to a warrant issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana under the authority of, inter alia, Title 18, United States Code, Section 2323,”
Users of streameast are sad because of the fact that free sports streaming is no more. Users can not enjoy free live sports streaming. But owners of streameast are trying to go online again so there is a chance users might able to access streameast again.
The notice also anounced that “first-time offenders convicted of a criminal felony copyright violation face up to five years in prison, fines, restitution, and forfeiture.”
Though some on Reddit claim that at least one of the domain names is still effective. Streaming and consuming pirated content is illegal under U.S. law.
There are many other fake or scam alternatives that are online. Why only Streameast domains are taken down. While this came as a disappointment, there was a backup plan in place.
